Haas ST-20SS CNC Turning Centre
The ST-20SS is the next-generation Haas high-speed turning centre. The machine’s 30 hp (22.4 kW) vector dual-drive spindle spins to 5000 rpm, and provides 114 ft-lb (155 Nm) of torque at 2000 rpm. Rapids are 1200 ipm (30.5 m/min) on the Z axis and 945 ipm (24.0 m/min) on the X axis. It is equipped with a 24-station hybrid BOT/VDI turret that indexes tools in 0.5 second.
It provides a maximum cutting capacity of 10" x 20.5" (254 x 521 mm), with maximum swings of 31.75" (806 mm) over the front apron and 20.75" (527 mm) over the cross slide.
The ST-20SS’s A2-6 spindle nose has a 3" (76 mm) spindle bore and a bar capacity of 2" (51 mm); it is equipped with a 8.3" (210 mm) hydraulic 3-jaw chuck. High productivity options for the ST-20SS include a belt-type chip conveyor, hydraulic tailstock, automatic tool probe, live tooling with C axis, automatic parts catcher, high-pressure coolant systems and much more.
