Take a Bite Out of Cycle Times – DM-1 high-speed machine
The DM-1 high-speed machine provides the perfect combination of speed and power to reduce cycle times.
The DM-1 is a compact high-speed machine identical in construction and specifications to the DT-1, but with the substitution of a Haas 40-taper inline spindle and an 18+1 tool changer. The machine’s high acceleration rates, fast axis speeds, and short tool change times make the DM-1 an attractive high-productivity machining centre.
Equally important, the DM-1 allows shops to use their existing 40-taper tooling and enjoy the benefits of a larger spindle. Moreover, it has a lean-style, compact footprint that makes very efficient use of valuable shop floor space.
- Powerful 40-taper inline direct-drive spindle
- High-productivity machining centre with a compact footprint
- Made in the USA
DM-1 high-speed machine; 508 x 406 x 394 mm, 40 taper, 15 hp vector drive, 10,000 rpm (12K & 15K opt.), 61 m/min rapids, high-speed 18+1 side-mount tool changer, power-failure detection module, 1 GB program memory, 15″ color LCD monitor, USB port, Ethernet interface, memory lock keyswitch, rigid tapping and 170 L flood-coolant system. Anchor kit highly recommended for installation.
Introducing the DM-1
See how the DM-1 high-speed machine high acceleration rates and fast tool-change times – combined with the ability to use a shop’s existing 40-taper tools – make it a valuable addition for job shops and large manufacturers alike.
Wireless Intuitive Probing System
Drastically reduce setup times on your high-speed machine
Automate your high-speed machine’s setup process with the Haas Wireless Intuitive Probing System (WIPS). WIPS is a complete probing package that includes the spindle probe, tool setting probe, and optical machine interface. Furthermore, powerful software that guides the operator through the job setup process with intuitive, easy-to-use templates. WIPS allows you to quickly and easily define work offset coordinates. Additionally, set tool length offsets, and perform in-process inspection.
